New World PvE Amulets & Perks

In This Section of the website we will help you know what Jewelry to run but also show you the logic behind it so you can adjust things to work for your playstyle.

The way armor perks work in New World means that, across all roles, builds, and armor weights, you’ll generally be looking for the same core perks, with adjustments for build-specific needs. Early on, focusing on these essential perks will help you decide which pieces of armor to keep. As you progress through Aeternum, the perks you seek won’t change much, except when transitioning between PvE and PvP; you'll want to aim for the best gear score available with the recommended perks for each build.

Amulet

Health works as it says and increases your health by a % based on your gear score, the higher your Constitution the more effective this perk is.

The Holy Grail of amulet perks are protections, this give you a base damage reduction that stacks with gems in your armor. This is by far the most important perk and should be matched to the mutation , boss or meta you are facing.

Divine is a nice boost to your incoming healing, usually on dps and healers this is less effective due to having lower base health and would benefit more from other perks but this can be a nice addition for tanks or a fill.

Empower in new world is a damage multiplier that in its simplest form multiplies your base damage by a percentage. For builds that rely heavily on empower for boosting damage empowered can be a huge addition, spear & rapier builds are most likely to have benefit from empowered.

It is important to reach your limit of 4 stacks of refreshing, if you do not have space on your armor it is viable to have on your jewlery to free up perk space on your armor
