Flail Healer

The Flail and Life Staff build in New World is a strong support setup, emphasizing healing uptime and strategic utility. Start by dropping Orb of Protection for shielding and healing, followed by light attack for cooldown. Next, use Sacred Ground for sustained healing, then another light attack, and follow with Beacon to keep the team topped up. After laying down your healing abilities, switch to the Flail, using Bludgeon to fortify allies, Vortex to cleanse debuffs and empower your team, and Eruption to extend your buffs. A key part of this build is maintaining 100% healing uptime while managing aggro—avoid healing too early, as doing so before the tank taunts can pull threat. If you do pull aggro, position yourself behind a structure to use line of sight, drawing enemies into the pack. Don’t be afraid to stay in melee range—often, it’s the safest spot for a healer in chaotic battles.

Attributes

Look at running 300 Focus - 100 con - Then the remaining in Strength, as you become more experienced you can look at running more constitution but to remember if you are running a shield build when you are on your lifestaff instead of the flail you will have less protection as you will be at a lower armor rating, you do not get the protection from your shield unless you have your flail out .

Armor

As always with armor you are looking at as much enchanted ward as possible while having your 4 refreshing stacks, fill any gaps with health , conditioning or other weapon perks you may want , harnessing is not needed with this build. Ensure your amulet is Health , divine/refreshing & Protectionto match the content you are doing.

All gear can be interchangeable with the gear score you have access too it is the perks that are the most relevant. For 700gs azoth crystal is a solid option.
